Welcome CAMRA members aren't stereotypes

The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is a well-established, national organisation with more than 100,000 members, which aims to promote traditional real ale and pubs.

CAMRA is organised into local branches run by volunteers; you have reached the home page of the York branch, Yorkshire's oldest. We cover an extensive geographical area, which includes Selby, Tadcaster and rural parts of North and East Yorkshire, as well as the city of York itself. Our members participate in a lively programme of social events, produce a regular newsletter and stage an annual beer festival.

Any feedback on the site or queries about York CAMRA should be directed to the appropriate contact.

News and Campaigns
The complete list of pubs in our area is updated regularly and added to the site.

We've changed the format so they are much easier to read and use and added new features. They've always had information such as address and telephone number, but now there's also a link to all the pub websites that we know of and to Google maps to help you find them. This makes them much more than just a list of pubs - they're a really useful guide for anyone visiting or living in our branch area. We plan to update them monthly, so keep coming back to check.

We rely on information from pub-goers to keep them up to date and accurate: to help us with this, please contact Stuart Masheder, our Pubs Officer with changes or news from any of the pubs.

CAMRA believes in full pints
CAMRA believes that if you pay for a pint of beer then that is what you should get - a full pint of liquid. Contact Trading Standards to report any pub which consistently serves short measure.
